Forum Thread: Alfa AWUS036NH or Alfa AWUS036H?

Simple question,
which one of these two USB adapters is better?

Alfa AWUS036NH is a newer version and has the signal strength of 2000 milliwatts while AWUS036N has 1000....but there is a difference in chipset manufacturers. So there is another question, Realtek RTL8187 (AWUS036H) or Ralink RT2870/3070 (AWUS036NH)?

i would use Realtek RTL8187

The RTL8187 chipset performs well in your desired expanse. I recommend that you take a look at the guide I wrote on this topic, which might even help you reconsider your choices.

really great post, but I already ordered AWUS036H for 35$....Too bad, cuz I could have bought TL-WN722N for 10$ in my neighbourhood didn't know it's good for pentesting.

Back to this post do you still recommend wn722n or wn823n which is available now on my local market?

Use the WN722N. Works wonders for me.. Version 1 is the only one that works, the last time I checked at least. If I'm wrong I appolagise. Best of luck
