Hey everyone ! My name is sned, I read a lot of article on Nullbyte about hacking that I find really useful.

I have just some question about all those hacking stuff.

What is the best way to learn hacking ?

I thought about making a Lab with

  • Window xp with firewall and without firewall
  • Some Unix machine
  • And metasploitable 2 to learn some metasploit basic

But what is metasploit ? Is it a exploit database ?

Metasploit is indeed a exploit database. To set up a lab, make sure you have some space on your hdd and install VirtualBox, QEMU, or VMware and make new virtual machines with your specifications. There are a lot of ways to learn hacking and I can't explain them all, but you could start with the Linux series here at nullbyte and go deeper.
