Forum Thread: Selenium Won't Detect Manually Installed Firefox

I tried to install firefox by apt-get install firefox and got errors so I decided to manually go to the firefox webpage to download. I am able to open firefox through the Linux desktop but not through the terminal. when I try to open I get the error:

Couldn't load XPCOM

I have tried multiple times to delete and reinstall firefox. Have also tried apt-get update, still won't work. Firefox version is 58.0.1
